U.S.C. - TITLE I
Structure of the United States Government



§1. DEFINITIONS

a.) "The Congress" refers to the legislative arm of the United States Government. The Congress is a bicameral lawmaking body with two chambers, known as the House of Representatives and the Senate. The House of Representatives shall be considered the lower chamber/house, and the Senate shall be considered the upper chamber/house.

b.) "Government bodies" herein refers to any state or federally formed agency or committee.

c.) The term "committee" herein refers to a group of lawmakers appointed to act in a specific function and/or investigate a specific legislative matter.

d.) "The Executive Branch" shall refer to the Office of the President of the United States, acting as the chief executive of the United States Government and the Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces. The Executive Branch shall also include the Office of the Vice President of the United States.



§2. SEPARATION OF POWER

The Constitution of the United States enforces separation of power. Therefore, the following branches of government are constitutionally defined and established:

a.) The Executive Branch - The Executive Branch shall include the President of the United States, the Vice President of the United States, and the Cabinet. The power of the Executive Branch shall be vested in the Office of the President of the United States. The executive branch shall be tasked with overseeing the operation of the federal government. The responsibilities and duties of the President shall include:

i.) To conduct diplomacy and advance the interests of the United States of America.
ii.) Represent the nation as Head of State and Head of Government.
iii.) Act as Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces.
iv.) Appoint the heads of federal agencies.
v.) Extend pardons and clemencies for federal crimes.
vi.) Sign or veto legislation.


The Executive Branch shall also include the Vice President of the United States, whose duties and responsibilities shall include:
i.) Serve as President of the United States Senate and cast a tie-breaking vote.
ii.) Serve as a top adviser to the President of the United States.
iii.) Act as President of the United States in the event of the President's absence, illness or other temporary incapacity to exercise his/her duties.
iv.) Assume the Office of President of the United States in the event of the President's death, impeachment, removal from office with the signatures of the majority of the Cabinet, or his/her resignation.
v.) Conduct diplomacy and represent the nation alongside the President.


The Executive Branch shall also include the United States Cabinet, which shall consist of the Secretaries of each executive department of the United States Government, and shall take on the following duties and responsibilities:
i.) Serve as the principal official advisory body to the President of the United States.
ii.) Carry out the programs and laws of the federal government.
iii.) To lead and be responsible for the executive departments of the United States Government.



b.) The Legislative Branch - Legislative power shall be vested in the United States Congress. The duties of the Congress shall include:

i.) Amend laws, bodies and the Constitution.
ii.) Conduct oversight over the President, the government bodies, form committees to address matters of importance to the United States.
iii.) Declare war or peace against enemies threatening the sovereignty, integrity and unity of the United States.
iv.) Control the federal budget, and the spending of the federal government.



c.) The Judicial Branch - Judicial power shall be vested in the Supreme Court of the United States, the highest court in the land and the only part of the federal judiciary specifically required by the Constitution. The Supreme Court shall be led by a Chief Justice of the United States. The duties of the judiciary shall include:

i.) Handling appeal cases from lower courts, and state courts where a question of federal law exists, and making full and final rulings in any case before it.
ii.) Verify the legality of any state laws or executive orders implemented, and where appropriate, enforce the Supremacy Clause.
iii.) Verify that all federal and state laws, executive orders, and municipality bylaws adhere to the Constitution.
