Chapter I — Shared Roof & Childhood Bonds


Nicholas Gilbert and Vito Galante first crossed paths during elementary school.
What started as a simple childhood friendship quickly became something much deeper. Despite growing up in different households and backgrounds, the two naturally clicked together and became nearly inseparable.

Everything changed during fifth grade after Vito's parents suddenly left town, temporarily placing him under the care of Nicholas's family. Days turned into weeks, and weeks slowly became months. Eventually, it became clear that they were never coming back.

Nicholas's parents officially took Vito in and raised him as one of their own. From that point forward, the two no longer saw each other as friends  they became brothers under the same roof.

Sharing the same room, routines, responsibilities, and struggles built an unusual level of trust between them. Nicholas often handled situations with practicality and awareness, while Vito developed a calmer, more patient approach. Together, they learned how to survive and adapt inside a rough working-class environment long before they reached their teenage years.

Chapter II — Middle School Reputation


Middle school exposed both Nicholas and Vito to a harsher social environment. Bullying, intimidation, and extortion from older students became a regular sight around campus.

Rather than ignoring the situation, the duo quietly built a small trusted circle around themselves. Their approach was organized and calculated  never reckless. Whenever weaker students were cornered or pressured, Nicholas, Vito, and their group would step in together, making it clear that nobody stood alone.

One incident behind the gym involving an older student who constantly harassed younger kids became a turning point for their reputation. The confrontation spread quickly through the school, establishing the duo as individuals who couldn't easily be challenged.

By the end of eighth grade, they weren't just respected they had become a recognized presence throughout the campus. Untouchable to some, fair to others, but impossible to ignore.

Chapter III — Jefferson Blocks & Street Exposure


High school introduced an entirely different atmosphere. Larger campuses, neighborhood politics, and increasing gang activity surrounded daily life in Jefferson.

Nicholas and Vito naturally expanded their influence, surrounding themselves with students who respected their leadership and reputation. Over time, several individuals within their circle were actively tied to local Crip cliques and Asian Boyz sets, exposing the duo to the realities of street life.

At first, the involvement remained small. Delivering envelopes, transporting people across neighborhoods using Nicholas's old vehicle, and handling simple errands for older figures became easy ways to earn quick money.

Most afternoons were spent on Jefferson corners and alleyways, smoking with the homies while observing how the streets truly operated. They never fully committed themselves to any particular set or color, yet their consistency and reliability slowly earned them recognition throughout the blocks.

They weren't loud.
They weren't reckless.
But people knew their names.

OOC INFORMATION


Nicholas Gilbert and Vito Galante are currently being roleplayed as a long-term duo heavily connected to the Jefferson area and its surrounding street environment.
At the moment, we are specifically looking to build meaningful connections with characters who could realistically fit into their past or current storyline — whether that involves old classmates, childhood friends, former neighborhood associates, or individuals tied to the Jefferson blocks during their high school years.
Our goal is to create natural long-term roleplay and expand the circle around the characters through believable interactions and shared history.
